Toronto-based roots rock band The Lustre is thrilled to perform live and share the songs from their debut LP at The Dakota Tavern on Saturday June 15, supported by indie folk group Scout. Both bands share similar musical sensibilities with a focus on melody and vocal harmonies. These passionate musicians enjoy writing and performing songs that are personal and universal. We hope you can join us for the show!
About the bands
THE LUSTRE draws their influences from indie, alt country, and classic rock. The band is comprised of 6 long-time friends who have performed in many other acts independently and collectively. They are about to release their debut LP on streaming platforms everywhere.
SCOUT is a group of Toronto-based friends who love writing and performing music together. The alt-folk inspired band incorporates fiddle, four part harmony, sweeping guitar effects and dynamic bass and drums that creates a sound uniquely their own.
In 2023, SCOUT found their way to All Day Coconut studio to record their debut EP with Gavin Gardiner (The Wooden Sky, Jason Collett, Georgia Harmer). The project titled Borders etc. was released to a sold out crowd in March of 2024 and is streaming everywhere now.
